58-year-old motorcyclist dies after crash in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 58-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Rady Street in Richmond early Saturday morning.
At 1:28 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 2800 block of Rady Street for the report of a motorcycle crash.
When officers arrived, they found 58-year-old motorcyclist Alfonso Goodwyn of Richmond on the ground and unresponsive, injured from the crash. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The Richmond Police Department's Crash Team reportedly responded to the scene and determined that Goodwyn was heading west on Rady Street when the crash occurred.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police, and speed may have been a factor which resulted in the crash.
