75-year-old Norfolk woman dead after crash on I-85 in Dinwiddie
DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 75-year-old Norfolk woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash that occurred Friday morning on Interstate 85 North in Dinwiddie County.
At around 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on northbound I-85, about 2.5 miles north of McKenney Highway in Dinwiddie County.
Police said 75-year-old Faiqa Aftab Qureshi, of Norfolk, was driving a 2024 Lexus RX 350, which then ran off the left side of the road and caught fire.
According to officials, Qureshi died due to her injuries at the scene. Police said was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
