8Arts & Culture: VCUarts Theatre presents ‘Rhinoceros’

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- In this episode of 8Arts & Culture, Digital Content Producer Kendal McAuley sat down with Jesse Njus, Ph.D., assistant professor of VCUarts' Theatre Department to talk about their upcoming theatre production.

In this week's episode, Jesse Njus with VCUarts talked about their upcoming production of "Rhinoceros" by Eugene Ionesco. The audience can anticipate taking away a piece of history with the story's setting in the early 1930's.

Jesse, who is also the director of VCUarts' production of "Rhinoceros" shared special insights about what guests can expect this weekend, as well as characteristics about the production -- like the unique set design, custom-made costumes and make-up.

The opening night will kick off Thursday, Feb. 27, and continue through the weekend with shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices cost $20 and are available online.
