8News continues to celebrate Black History Month with first-ever exhibition

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- As 8News continues to highlight and honor Black history, we celebrated Friday night by hosting our first-ever Black History Month exhibition.

On Friday, Feb. 21, 8News hosted the Honoring Black History exhibition at Art Works on 320 Hull Street. The event was initially scheduled for Feb. 20, but was rescheduled due to previous inclement weather.

The gallery-style exhibit ran from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and featured photos from various stories 8News has covered this month during our "Honoring Black History" special series.

Photos include stills from recent stories like the story of Richmond's oldest Black-owned business to a West African dance group that originated at VCU.
