RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Bite By Bite & Co., Richmond's first charcuterie shop, opened at Stony Point Fashion Park in September. 8News got a taste of some of the treats the shop has to offer. In the morning on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 8News Anchors Delaney Hall and Autumn Childress spoke with the shop's owner and founder, Teyoshe Smith about its offerings. Smith said her business began small, with charcuterie boards made for family and friends, but quickly became bigger as word spread. With the fall season in mind, Smith demonstrated how to make a festive pumpkin charcuterie centerpiece. Smith said to start with a small hollowed-out pumpkin for the base, followed by a filling of tasty snacks, like cheddar popcorn and caramel corn. Next, she suggested adding some skewers to the pumpkin that are stacked with tasty goodies like pickles, cherry tomatoes, olives and cheeses. PREVIOUSLY: Richmond’s first charcuterie shop, Bite By Bite & Co. is now open at Stony Point Delaney and Autumn also got to try some of the business' homemade dips, including garlic feta, pumpkin harvest, pumpkin bacon and a signature dip. In addition to all the accoutrements that the store offers, Smith said it also hosts workshops to help people learn how to build their own charcuterie boards at home.
