8News gets cuisine samples ahead of Asian Street Food Festival
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Friday to talk about, and sample, cuisine for the upcoming Asian Street Food Festival that will take place this weekend.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by Tin Myint, vice chair of the Asian American Society of Central Virginia (AASoCV), as he discussed what people can expect.
Myint brought several examples of food that festival attendees will have the chance to try, including Nepali cuisine like momos, the popular South Asian dish biryani and much more.
People can head to The Answer Brewpub located at 6008 West Broad Street on Saturday, Nov. 8 from noon to 5 p.m. to enjoy dishes inspired by the street markets of Asia.
"This AASoCV brings all of our voices together as a whole and they share that culture and our heritage to the Richmond community," Myint said.
