8News gets sneak peek of Good Shot Judy’s holiday shows ‘A Crooner’s Christmas’
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News got a visit from special guests — two members of the swing band Good Shot Judy — on Wednesday about two upcoming special shows and a new album.
8News anchor Delaney Hall and StormTracker8 Meteorologist Jessica Kirk were joined by Brett and Jeff Cahoon to discuss their upcoming holiday performances in the area.
The band will present "A Crooner's Christmas," now in its 11th year, later this month on Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Louisa Arts Center.
"It's two hours of fun-filled, Crooners' classic Christmas," said bandleader Brett Cahoon. "Think Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald -- with a little more high-energy output to it."
The holiday performance will return to the area just in time for the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Cultural Art Center in Glen Allen.
The band members also brought their newest album, "A Crooner's Christmas: Volume 1," which Brett Cahoon called "a snapshot of the show over the last 10 years," featuring 14 holiday favorites.
