8News gets sneak peek of Maymont’s Merry Market

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Thursday to talk about a place where people can kick off their holiday shopping: Maymont's Merry Market.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Madison Moore were joined by Laurie Mavica, Maymont's director of special events, about what people can expect.

"It is a festive day and it is the perfect way to get all your holiday shopping done -- knocked out in one day -- and find some really special gifts that people will cherish for years and years to come," Mavica said.

People can head to Maymont, located at 1700 Hampton St., on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. both days to peruse items from over 75 local artisans.
