8News gets visit from Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests with Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our anchors got to peruse some of the new cookie options and talk about the Girl Scouts mission.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Madison Moore were joined by Janna Joyner, Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth's vice president of marketing and communications, as well as Girl Scout ambassador and "mastermind of selling" Leanne to talk about the program.
"We are building the next generation of girl leaders," Joyner said. "We are focused on life skills, entrepreneurship, the outdoors, we're creating a lifetime of leadership for these girls."
They also brought a plethora of cookie flavors, both familiar and new, to demonstrate the range of treats that the Girl Scouts offer.
