8News meets baby dinosaur from Jurassic Quest exhibit in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests on Friday to meet a baby dinosaur from the Jurassic Quest exhibit, which will be taking over the Greater Richmond Convention Center this weekend.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by dino trainers Shahmad and Deb as they introduced Trixie, a baby Triceratops that the Jurassic Quest website refers to as their "therapy dinosaur."

"You'll come into an exhibit at first, it's over 165 million years worth of dinosaurs, you will see T. rex's, triceratops, spinosauruses, apatosauruses," Shahmad said when discussing what people can expect.

Prehistoric fans can head to the Greater Richmond Convention Center from Friday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 23, to ride dinosaurs, pet them, take pictures, see them walk around and take a trip around the exhibit in a jeep.
