8News talks GalaxyCon with actor Bruce Boxleitner
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- GalaxyCon has kicked off this week, and 8News got the chance to speak with actor Bruce Boxleitner on Thursday about what fans can expect.
8News anchors Delaney Hall and Madison Moore were joined by Boxleitner as he detailed the purpose of the convention as well as other celebrity guests people may see.
"I think we're going to have William Shatner who is, to me, the original space captain, everyone still knows him," Boxleitner said. "It's a great way for fans of certain genres, especially science fiction and fantasy, to come and meet their heroes and heroines of the past and current."
Viewers may know Boxleitner from his dual role as Alan Bradley and Tron in the 1982 film "Tron" as well as his leading roles in several TV series such as "How the West Was Won" and "Scarecrow."
GalaxyCon, which runs different hours from March 27 to 30, will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and will feature celebrities, artists, panels, meet-and-greets, cosplay opportunities and more.
