8News talks to stars of Back to the Future: The Musical ahead of Altria run

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News was joined by the lead duo of Back to the Future: The Musical on Wednesday to talk about the show as it teleports to the Altria Theater this week.

8News anchor Madison Moore was joined by Lucas Hallauer, who plays Marty McFly, and David Josefberg, who plays Doc Brown, as they discussed what the audience can expect.

"If you love the movie you're going to love the musical," Hallauer said. "Obviously, we had to have a DeLorean on stage, so there is a DeLorean involved, and, you know, it's really cool to see how the technical team has pulled off those time travel sequences."

The show started its Broadway run in 2023 as a musical adaptation of the 1985 classic film, telling the story of McFly being sent to 1955 and following him as he tries to find a way to get back to the future.
