Baby fighting for life after driver hit them in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- An infant is fighting for their life after they were hit by a driver in Chesterfield County on Thursday.
Just before 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, officers were called to the 3000 block of Kingsland Road for report of a crash with injuries.
Details are limited at this time, but police said officers learned that a driver crashed their vehicle into a residence, as well as an infant child.
The baby was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their life-threatening injuries.
No additional information, such as the possible cause or circumstances of the crash, is available as of the time of reporting. It's also not yet known whether or not the involved driver remained at the scene.
