Bon Secours, Humana negotiations could impact patient coverage
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Bon Secours is sharing an important message with patients who have Humana managed Medicaid or Medicare Advantage insurance coverage.
According to a recent post, if an agreement isn't made between Bon Secours and Humana before Jan. 1, 2026, Bon Secours will become out-of-network for Humana Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans.
Bon Secours said it is in active negotiations with Humana, adding that it is committed to "a fair resolution that ensures you and your family continue receiving the high-quality care you deserve."
"Your health is our priority, and we’re doing everything we can to maintain your in-network access to the Bon Secours facilities and caregivers you know and trust," Bon Secours said.
Locations in Charleston, SC, Roper St. Francis Healthcare providers and St. Francis Eastside hospitals in Greenville, SC will not be impacted by these negotiations. However, employee providers in Greenville, SC could be.
