Boulevard Burger & Brew reopens for one week, already seeing a boost in sales
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond's Boulevard Burger & Brew is seeing a boost in sales as it sold out of burgers less than one week after it reopened. It first closed in late 2024 after a car crashed into its storefront.
Just looking at the past week of sales, this beloved burger joint is back and better than ever.
"We sold out of burgers last night [and] we were out of fries, so people have been getting what they want," said Logan Jones, assistant general manager of the Boulevard Burger & Brew, on Feb. 24.

According to police, a man and two women -- all involved in an altercation -- were stopped at the intersection The man got out of the car and tried to get one of the women out of the car, but she managed to get to the driver's seat of the vehicle and began driving.
Authorities told 8News she then lost control and crashed into the restaurant. She was charged with driving while impaired and reckless driving.
Jones told 8News that, at the time of the incident, store employees were beginning to switch seasons. Then, suddenly, their workplace was temporarily shut down.
"It was definitely right when I was getting into the swing of things — baseball season had just ended [and] I was getting excited for the holiday season, and then I was at a different restaurant," he said. "I was really just worried about my employees, because they are all hourly or tip-based."

Boulevard Burger & Brew is under parent company EAT Restaurants Partners and is one of their 12 establishments.
The restaurant employees were spread out to work at various establishments under that parent company -- a move Jones, who's been with the company for almost five years now, took as an opportunity for growth.
"It was like Asian fusion -- it's called Wild Ginger," Jones said of the restaurant he ended up working at during the closure. "It's sushi, steaks and whatnot, which is a big step -- not a step up, but it's a step in a different direction, from burgers and milkshakes."
8News spoke with customers, who were pleased with the return of the burger joint -- including a new one, who had just moved to the Richmond area.
"I made the right choice [coming here] and it's phenomenal," that customer, Jaerod Buckles, said. "This place is awesome and now there's all this new history to it, too -- while I'm just starting getting here? It's perfect! So we write our own story, alone together!
