Broadway legend Melba Moore is coming to the Petersburg library
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Legendary vocalist and Broadway actress, Melba Moore, will be coming to Petersburg in January.
On Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Petersburg Public Library, located at 201 W. Washington St., is offering the chance to meet Melba Moore for free.
The library is a part of Moore's book tour in Virginia, where she is promoting her memoir, "This Is It - Marvelous... And Getting Better." Her book is about Moore's career, music, theater and culture.

Moore achieved success with her famous songs such as "This Is It," "You Stepped Into My Life," and Grammy-nominated "Read My Lips."
She has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023, and her cover of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" was inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry.
This free event is open to the public.
