Cat rescued by Chesterfield firefighters after being trapped inside car for hours
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield firefighters rescued a cat on Saturday evening after it was stuck inside a car for several hours.
Chesterfield County Fire and EMS took to social media to announce the good news. According to the post, the cat was on the way to its foster home on Saturday, Jan. 24, when it got loose in the car and climbed up the dashboard.
The driver tried for seven hours to get the cat out, but couldn't on her own. She then drove to a Chesterfield fire station in the snow for help.

Per the post, firefighters spent about two hours rescuing the cat. The little animal was stuck behind a metal bar in the glove compartment of the car.
"Other than being a little scared, the kitty is okay," officials said.
