Cat shot in New Kent, authorities asking for information

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A cat was found shot in New Kent County on Saturday, with local authorities hoping the public may have information that leads to an arrest.

On Saturday, May 17, a male brown/gray tabby cat was found in the 10600 block of Talleysville Road with gunshot wounds, according to the New Kent County Sheriff's Office Animal Protection Unit.

The cat, pictured above, is being cared for by a veterinarian and is "super friendly and loving despite his painful injuries," the unit said.
