Celebrate 50 years of Rockwood Park in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County is inviting people to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rockwood Park in July, with music, activities and more.

The celebratory event will take place on Saturday, July 19, at Rockwood Park, kicking off with a new limited-edition Gelati Celesti flavor created for the anniversary that will be revealed at 11 a.m.

After that, people will be able to enjoy several different free activities at the Rockwood Nature Center like bounce houses, inflatables and hands-on programming.

8News viewers might also see a familiar face at the event, as StormTracker8 Meteorologist Jacqueline Waters will be there at noon to join participants in their educational and interactive experiences.
