Celebrate African culture, heritage at AfroFest RVA 2025

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Celebrate the African culture and heritage at Richmond's 6th-annual AfroFest on Saturday.

AfroFest RVA 2025 will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Pine Camp Arts & Community Center, located at 4901 Old Brook Road.

This free event will offer a wide variety of activities. According to organizers, there will be live music and performances, including a live DJ, drum circles, a parade and a fashion show.

Additionally, attendees will be able to enjoy authentic cuisine from both Africa and the African Diaspora, as well as view culture and history exhibits. Vendors will offer both merchandise and resources.

Free live concert series returning to Richmond’s Main Street Station

For those with children, there will be a family-friendly Kidz Zone with fun activities. For those in need of a little TLC, there will be a "Rejuvenation Station" hosted by The Confidence Connect that offers complimentary massages and pampering.

AfroFest is sponsored by the African Community Network (ACN) RVA and in partnership with the City of Richmond's Office of Immigrant and Refugee Engagement (OIRE).
