Celebrate fall with Henrico Schools’ 2024 Band Showcase in October

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County Public Schools' 2024 Band Showcase will march into the fall season with performances from nine high school bands in October. Henrico County Public Schools' 2024 Band Showcase will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at Hermitage High School and feature performances by nine high school marching bands from the school division. The event is free, but donations will be accepted at the gate for the Henrico Christmas Mother campaign, which provides assistance to qualifying families, seniors and disabled adults during the holiday season. Donations of canned goods, peanut butter, cereal, and crackers, as well as hats, gloves and socks will also be accepted at the event for Henrico Christmas Mother. Attendees can meet this year's Henrico Christmas Mother, Linda Melton, at the event. According to a spokesperson for Henrico Schools, Melton is a 40-year veteran of the banking industry and has served on a host of area advisory boards.
