Charles City County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services to host Brunswick stew event benefitting animal shelter

CHARLES COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Charles City County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services will host an event serving up Brunswick stew to benefit the county's animal shelter.
The event will span from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 at Dollar General, located at 10341 Courthouse Rd.
Officials said the stew will be $12 per court and cornbread will be $4 each or two for $7.
Folks can choose to buy their stew in advance of the event for pickup or opt for delivery.
The Charles City County Animal Shelter will reportedly receive 25% of the proceeds.
