Chesterfield County to close portion of Taylor Road for project
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County is closing a portion of Route 646, or Taylor Road, due to a pipe replacement project.
The closure on Taylor Road will be between Beaver Bridge Road and River Road. The project will take place in the 12300 block of Taylor Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, weather permitting, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Residents will still be able to access their property, and the Taylor Road Landfill area will also be accessible from the north end of Taylor Road.
Detour routes will be posted in the area and are as follows:
- Northbound traffic: Travel east on River Road, north on Colorado Road and west on Beaver Bridge Road.
- Southbound traffic: Travel east on Beaver Bridge Road, south on Colorado Road and west on River Road.
