Chesterfield native to ‘wreak a lot of carnage’ in upcoming horror film

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesterfield County native will appear in an upcoming horror film, with a local red carpet premiere set for Sunday.

Dwayne Hilton, Jr., a L.C. Bird High School graduate, will soon walk the red carpet for the release of "TRUCKER," a horror film directed by Errol Sack and written by Steven Shaffer.

"A trucker's family is killed in a fiery crash caused by a group of reckless teens," reads the film's description on IMDb. "Rescued from the wreckage and nursed back to health by a mysterious old man, the trucker exacts brutal revenge on the teens who destroyed his life."

In an interview for the film, Hilton explained that his character, Dan, goes head-to-head with the film's titular "Trucker." This is likely because, as seen in the film's trailer, Dan is the one behind the wheel when said trucker's life falls apart.

Hilton described Dan as "a bunch of bad decisions all over."

"I [Dan] cause a lot of havoc -- we wreak a lot of carnage," he said. "It's an honor to play the role -- as horrific [as] Dan is!"

Hilton's rise in Hollywood comes after a record-breaking stint in the professional wrestling world, where he made headlines as the youngest professional wrestler in history at just 11 years old, according to a press release from his publicist.

"With a foundation rooted in professional wrestling, sharpened by martial arts discipline, amplified through music and elevated by film, Dwayne Hilton Jr. stands as one of entertainment’s most dynamic rising stars," the release reads.

Those interested in supporting Hilton and being one of the first to see the film are invited to attend the "TRUCKER" red carpet premiere. It will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 at the Commonwealth 20, located at 5001 Commonwealth Centre Pkwy in the Midlothian area. Tickets can be purchased here.

Hilton's fellow castmembers include Milo Hayden, Nicole Mattox, Dare Taylor, Lauren Parkinson and Jim Palmer, among several others.
