Chesterfield says water restored after customers lose water due to main break

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County has announced that water has been restored for customers who experienced issues early Saturday morning after a water main break.

Water was restored to the 15 customers who experienced water issues as of 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, according to the county's Department of Public Utilities (DPU).

The department first received a call about the break, located at S. Arch Road between Castleburg Drive and Redbridge Road, at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

S. Arch Road between Castleburg Drive and Redbridge Road was reopened at 7:40 a.m. on Saturday, after closing for several hours on Friday evening while crews work to fix the break.

Customers in the area experienced fluctuations in water pressure, but the water pressure was not fully lost. Pressure was restored at 2:30 p.m. for those experiencing issues, as DPU isolated the water line.

As a result of this isolation, 15 customers in the county were without water shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.
