Chesterfield sheriff joins Jelly Roll, Melissa Etheridge for recovery project
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesterfield sheriff is partnering with GRAMMY-nominated singer Jelly Roll and GRAMMY-winner Melissa Ethridge to help bring recovery resources to colleges across the country.
Sheriff Karl Leonard with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office will be joining the well-known musical artists for the Mobilize Recovery Campus Surge 2025 initiative.
Through combining leading voices in law enforcement, the music industry and recovery communities, this project aims to provide education, empowerment and life-saving resources to college students at a nationwide level.
With the official Campus Surge 2025 schedule planning to be released in June, people will have the opportunity to attend seminars and leadership trainings as well as have safe spaces to share their experiences with addiction.
