Chippenham Hospital to break ground on new Chesterfield ER
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A groundbreaking ceremony will be hosted by Chippenham Hospital on Wednesday for the new Chesterfield ER.
Officials with the hospital will gather on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. to break ground on the new freestanding emergency room located at 9630 Iron Bridge Road, per an HCA Virginia release.
The project, expected to reach completion in mid-2026, includes a nearly 11,000-square-foot emergency room that will be staffed by board-certified physicians and nurses.
Once completed, Chesterfield ER will be the tenth freestanding emergency room from HCA Virginia, and will provide the same services as an emergency room located within a hospital.
This ceremony comes after a groundbreaking was held earlier this month for a freestanding emergency room located in Richmond's Scott's Addition, Scott's Walk.
