Closures coming to Prince George roadway for emergency repairs

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Drivers will see closures along a Prince George County roadway in early March as crews conduct emergency repairs.

A stretch of West Quaker Road between Prince George Drive and County Drive will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from March 6 to March 8.

This will allow crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to perform emergency pavement repairs.

Detours will be available. They are as follows:

  • Westbound traffic: Take Prince George Drive south towards County Drive. Then, turn right onto County Drive. Finally, head west to West Quaker Road.
  • Eastbound traffic: Take County Drive east towards Prince George Drive. Then, turn left onto Prince George Drive. Finally, head north to West Quaker Road.

If you have any questions about this project, you can call VDOT's customer service line at 800-367-7623.
