Colonial Heights Police warn residents to avoid roads amidst rainfall

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- Colonial Heights Police are are asking residents to avoid all non-essential travel after heavy rainfall has impacted the city's streets.
The announcement came via Facebook, police also add that if residents must travel and come across water in the roadways to "Please stay safe and turn around."
