Suspect allegedly fraudulently obtains victim’s credit card information for $1.4K money order at Chesterfield grocery store

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield Police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect in a credit card fraud that allegedly occurred in February.

In a press release shared on Monday, March 23, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program shared that it was looking for a suspect in a credit card fraud that occurred in early February.

According to police, on Feb. 5, a fraud occurred at the Food Lion located at 8006 Buford Court in Chesterfield County.

Officials said the victim's credit card information was fraudulently obtained, and an unknown suspect allegedly attempted several transactions at different locations.

Police said the suspect successfully used the victim's credit card to obtain a money order for over $1,400 at the Food Lion.

The suspect was described by police as being a white woman who was last seen wearing a long-sleeved yellow or gold sweater with light denim jeans, tan boots and shades. She was last seen leaving the area in a silver Honda Pilot SUV, according to police.
