Colonial Heights woman accused of robbing Walgreens at gunpoint

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- A Colonial Heights woman was hit with almost a dozen charges after police say she robbed a Walgreens at gunpoint.

At about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, officers with the Colonial Heights Police Department were called to a Walgreens at 3201 Boulevard for report of an armed robbery.

Investigators learned that a suspect entered the store with a gun and ordered the customer currently at the cash register to the ground, demanding money.

"The suspect then grabbed the cashier and forced her at gunpoint to an office, where the victim was ordered to open the safe," police said.
