Corrections officer stabbed at Nottoway Correctional Center

NOTTOWAY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A female corrections officer at the Nottoway Correction Center was stabbed during an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 8.
According to the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC), she was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is still no word about the extent of her injuries -- 8News has since reached out and is waiting for more information.
