Crash knocks out power for hundreds in Petersburg
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Over 200 Petersburg homes and businesses are without power after a Wednesday night crash.
At 9:21 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, the Petersburg Bureau of Police said power is out in the area of Perry Street following a crash.
Dominion Energy is at the scene working to restore power. Per the company's outage map, 225 customers are without power as of 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The following roadways are closed due to the crash:
- Perry Street and Farmer Street
- Guarantee Street and Brown Street
- Farmer Street and Pine Street
Police are asking those in the area to heed the posted road signs and use alternative routes.

Power should be restored between midnight and 3 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, according to Dominion Energy.
