Daily street closures coming to Richmond’s Walmsley area

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Multiple Richmond streets will see road closures for about a month as the city undergoes some roadwork.

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily starting Wednesday, May 28, and ending Monday, June 16, multiple streets in Richmond will be closed as contractors resurface the street, according to the Richmond Department of Public Works (DPW).

The following are the roads expected to close during this period:

• Martha Lane to Dead End
• Arnwood Road from Walmsley Boulevard to Martha Lane
• Vial Road from Walmsley Boulevard to Ferapont Drive
• Ferapont Drive from Vial Road to Dead End
• Tutti Drive from Ferapont Drive to Dead End
• Bonmark Drive to Dead End
• Dubet Lane from Bonmark Drive to Dead End
• Greer Avenue to Dead End
• Rusk Court from Rusk Avenue to Dead End
• Rusk Avenue from Rusk Court to Hopkins Road
• Susan Drive from Walmsley Boulevard to Rusk Avenue

The city said some travel lanes through this area may be temporarily closed. As of the time of reporting, Richmond has not announced which lanes will see those closures.
