Delivery driver charged in Goochland after allegedly stealing from home during drop-off

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A delivery driver was charged after he allegedly stole property from a home in Goochland County, while making a delivery.

Just after 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, deputies with the Goochland County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported burglary in the 2800 block of Preston Park Way.

According to the sheriff's office, the investigation determined that an Amazon delivery driver entered a garage while making a delivery and removed property from the home.

Deputies found the delivery vehicle in the area and continued the investigation with help of surveillance footage.

A 23-year-old Richmond man was taken into custody and charged with burglary and petit larceny.

He was held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
