Dinwiddie announces new director of general services
DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Dinwiddie County announced its new director of general services on Thursday.
Timmy B. Cliborne has been chosen for the role, who the county said brings over 24 years of experience in maintenance, operations and leadership with Iluka Resources, Inc., where he served as maintenance & operations superintendent.
Through his prior role as superintendent, Cliborne acquired experience in managing capital projects, advanced leadership, troubleshooting and more, per an Oct. 2 press release.
“It is a privilege to welcome Timmy Cliborne as Dinwiddie County’s new Director of General Services," said county administrator W. Kevin Massengill in the release. "As a lifelong resident, he brings valuable experience and a strong commitment to serving our community. I am confident his leadership will greatly benefit the citizens of Dinwiddie County."
Cliborne assumed the position officially on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
“Having grown up in Dinwiddie County, and raising my family here, this community has always been home to me," Cliborne said in the release. I am honored to serve the people of Dinwiddie in this capacity, particularly during such a time of growth and development. I look forward to giving back to the place that has given so much to me and my family."
