COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- A dog found abandoned outside of a store in Colonial Heights is still looking for her fur-ever home.

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Colonial Heights Animal Control Center shared a post about a dog found outside of a local tuxedo shop.

The white and brown spotted female dog was found tied to a tree at around 10 a.m. with no identification.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Animal Control provided an update on how the dog -- now called "Prada" -- is still with the shelter. Her original owner did not contact officials to reclaim her.

While she's doing much better, she has yet to be adopted.

"This lovely lady will need an active home where she can run and play and get all of her excited energy out," Animal Control said. "She deserves better than whomever owned her previously. Let's find her a forever home where she will never be abandoned again."

Officials described her as an 8 to 10-month-old dog with high energy and a lot of love to give.
