East Broad Street bridge in Richmond to close again next weekend
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- As work continues to replace the East Broad Street bridge over Interstate 95 and Shockoe Valley in downtown Richmond, the bridge will close to drivers again next weekend. Weather permitting, the closure will take place from 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 to 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Both of the ramps that connect East Broad Street to the interstate will be closed as well. Pedestrians will still have access to the bridge while the closure is in place and drivers can use East Leigh Street, East Main Street, East Cary Street or Dock Street to get across the interstate and Shockoe Valley during the closure.
