"Adopt" an education animal from Wildlife Center of Virginia
Is your dad an animal lover? The Wildlife Center of Virginia is offering people the chance to "adopt" an education animal as part of their Caring for Critters program.
Click here to meet the education animals and see which one you would like to adopt. For $55, you can participate in a full-year scholarship, and a half-year is $30. The donations help provide the animals with food, shelter and medical care, as well as supporting the center's several outreach programs.
When the adoption is purchased as a gift, the recipient receives a special sponsorship packet with a photo of the animal, their story and species history as well as a personalized adoption certificate.
Those planning to get this as a Father's Day gift should submit their order by Tuesday, June 10 to receive it on the actual holiday. Any orders placed after that are not guaranteed to arrive by June 15.
