Flash flood warning issued for some Central Virginia localities

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Flash flood warnings have been issued for some Central Virginia localities on Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the warning will be in effect until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, in the following localities:
- City of Richmond
- Chesterfield County
- Henrico County
- City of Colonial Heights
- Charles City County
- City of Hopewell
- City of Petersburg
Another warning will be in effect until 5 p.m. on Sunday in the following localities:
- Prince George County
- Sussex County
- King and Queen County
- Richmond County
A warning is in effect until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday for the following localities:
- Southcentral Chesterfield County
- Northwestern Dinwiddie County
- City of Petersburg
- Northwestern Prince George County
- City of Petersburg
A flash flood warning means that impacted localities may experience sudden flooding due to heavy rain.
