Flash flood warnings issued for parts of Richmond region

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A flash flood warning has been issued for some Richmond-area localities on Thursday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the warning will be in effect until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, in the following Central Virginia localities:
- Chesterfield County
- Hanover County
- Henrico County
- City of Richmond
A flash flood warning means that impacted localities may experience sudden flooding due to heavy rain.
