Flood watch in effect for Central Virginia localities
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Several localities throughout Central Virginia are under a flood watch until late Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Flood watches were issued for different areas on Monday, May 12, and Tuesday, May 13, but all will remain in effect until "late Tuesday night."
The watch is currently affecting the following localities:
- Albemarle County
- Amelia County
- Appomattox County
- Brunswick County
- Buckingham County
- Caroline County
- Charles City County
- Chesterfield County
- City of Richmond
- Cumberland County
- Dinwiddie County
- Essex County
- Fluvanna County
- Goochland County
- Greensville County
- Hanover County
- Henrico County
- King and Queen County
- King William County
- Lancaster County
- Louisa County
- Lunenburg County
- Mecklenburg County
- Middlesex County
- New Kent County
- Northumberland County
- Powhatan County
- Prince Edward County
- Prince George County
- Richmond County
- Spotsylvania County
- Sussex County
