Fonticello Food Forest to host Peace Day Celebration in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Fonticello Food Forest in Richmond's Southside is hosting a Peace Day Celebration this Saturday. On Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fonticello Food Forest is holding its Peace Day Celebration, free and family-friendly event, at 2715 Bainbridge Street in Richmond's Southside. According to Fonticello Food Forest, the event will celebrate the organization's work in sustaining the community. The lineup of events for the Peace Day Celebration is as followed: 10 a.m. to noon -- Aerial Silk Demonstrations from Host of Sparrows 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Free Farmstand noon to 1:30 p.m. -- Yoga led by J Miles with live drumming from Dr. Ram Baghat 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Winter Clothing Drive 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Art Station from Art on Wheels 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Nature Crafts with Youth Outdoor Workshops To learn more about Fonticello Food Forest, visit its website.
