Former Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke to hold town hall meeting in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Former presidential candidate, Beto O'Rourke is set to return to Richmond, Saturday, July 19, for a public town hall meeting as a part of his initiative to continue to listen to people around the country.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center Cardinal Ballroom. The meeting seeks to give community members the opportunity to ask him questions about local and federal issues while discussing plans for the country going forward.

The former Presidential candidate and Texas Congressman, has been on the road as a part of his initiative to hear directly from communities, organize "on-the-ground" and to register voters.

According to the press release, O'Rourke has conducted dozens of town halls across Texas, held 10 public meetings, and during his presidential campaign, held several rallies in Virginia including in areas like Norfolk, Hampton, Richmond, Roanoke, Blacksburg, Wytheville, Bland, Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Alexandria and Fredericksburg.
