Free healthcare clinic coming to Cumberland High School
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A free healthcare clinic is coming to Cumberland High School this weekend courtesy of the nonprofit organization Remote Area Medical (RAM).
According to a release from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the free clinic is being held on March 29 and 30, and will offer dental and vision care as well as other forms of medical care to those in need.
The clinic's doors usually open at around 6 a.m. and will not require people to bring an insurance or ID card. People will have the opportunity to get eye exams along with prescription glasses created on-site.
The release also said that the clinic is made possible due to the help of local volunteers as well as out-of-state helpers that aim to help those in need of reliable, affordable healthcare.
