Free screening of ‘The Fishing Place’ coming to the Byrd

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Byrd Theatre will be offering a free screening of "The Fishing Place" -- directed by a cinema professor at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

The free screening will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 5, at the historic Byrd Theatre in Richmond's Carytown.

"The Fishing Place" is a film directed by VCU cinema professor Rob Tregenza and follows a woman imprisoned by Nazis, who has the chance to be released if she agrees to help a German officer spy on a local priest.

There is no registration required, and seats will be first-come, first-served -- doors open for the event at 6:30 p.m.
