Gas leak shuts down Henrico roadways

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Multiple Henrico County roadways are shut down Monday afternoon due to a gas leak.

As of about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, the Henrico County divisions of Police and Fire are in the 11900 block of Shire Walk Lane for an active gas leak.

Shire Walk Lane is shut down in both directions as work is done to repair the leak. Southbound John Rolfe Parkway between Pump Road and Glen Eagles Drive is also closed.

"Please avoid the area to allow crews to safely contain the leak," police said on Facebook. "Updates will be provided as information becomes available."
