‘Glow Big or Glow Home’: Chesterfield launches tourism campaign for families

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A brand new tourism initiative is set to guide families and visitors on the brightest holiday journey in Chesterfield County.

The county announced Wednesday, Nov. 19, that it's kicking off its "Glow Big or Glow Home" campaign for the holiday season, highlighting holiday activities and attractions in the area.

"Glow Big or Glow Home" will showcase light displays, cherished traditions, family-friendly events like the CarMax Tacky Light Run, dining experiences and seasonal attractions, the release said.

There's something for everyone on the campaign's website. Whether you're in need of a festive night out or a weekend getaway filled with beloved holiday traditions, the campaign's website features a different guide with a set of activities to plan your perfect holiday escape.

“Chesterfield, Virginia has so many rich traditions and activities during the holidays,” said J.C. Poma, Chesterfield County Sports, Visitation and Entertainment (SVE) executive director in a statement. “We want to not only shine a light on these incredible events for our residents and visitors to experience, but we also want these families to return year after year to make lasting memories.”

Per the release, "Glow Big or Glow Home" was expanded thanks to a $10,000 marketing grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation. Visit "Glow Big or Glow Home" for more information.
