Goochland County Sheriff’s Office to host drug take back in October
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Goochland County Sheriff's Office will host a drug takeback at the end of October as an opportunity for community members to get rid of unwanted prescription drugs. On Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. people can bring unwanted prescription drugs to Co. 1 Fire/Rescue located at 180 River Road West and Co. 5 Fire/Rescue at 2710 Fairground Road for disposal. The sheriff's office is working with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for this event to help people get rid of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs as well as prevent pill abuse.
