Grocery store shooting in Crozet, 2 dead and 1 injured
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A shooting took place at a grocery store in Crozet that left two victims dead and one other wounded on Monday afternoon.
According to Albermarle County Police Department, a deadly shooting took place at the Harris Teeter in Crozet, which left two victims dead and one injured.
At approximately 1:35 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17 Albemarle police were called to the Harris Teeter -- located at 545 Radford Lane in Crozet -- after received multiple shooting reports.
After first responders arrived, they discovered three victims with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims died on the scene and the third victim was taken to UVA Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
Albemarle police said there is no further risk to the public at this time, but the community is encouraged to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
